Hessle fire: Explosions heard as firefighters tackle huge blaze
A huge fire is being tackled by firefighters in Yorkshire as locals described hearing explosions coming from a plastics factory.
People have been sent home from work for their own safety and police have asked people to stay away from the area.
A Humberside Police spokesman told The Telegraph: "Officers are currently in attendance at an incident on Saxon Way, Hessle supporting the fire service following reports of a fire at 3:40pm today.
"We ask that members of the public avoid the area where possible whilst the incident is brought to a safe resolution."
